Natalie Portman presents the Actress of the Year Award to Kristin Scott Thomas at the Hollywood Film Festival’s Gala Ceremony held at Beverly Hilton Hotel on Monday in Beverly Hills, Calif. The 27-year-old actress just signed on to star in and produce Love and Other Impossible Pursuits, a Don Roos-directed adaptation of an Ayelet Waldman novel. (She’s filling in for Jennifer Lopez, who abruptly left the project.)
Variety reports filming will begin shooting in Manhattan on Nov. 10. The movie is about a young woman who finds the key to recovering her marriage in her relationship with her precocious stepson.
Natalie Portman vs. Jennifer Lopez? Wow, they would have made completely different movies.
