Ellen Pompeo and her music exec husband Chris Ivery celebrate Tao Nightclub’s three year anniversary in The Venetian Hotel and Casino Resort on Saturday in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The 38-year-old Grey’s Anatomy actress was accompanied by Private Practice star Kate Walsh and her movie exec husband Alex Young, Denise Richards, Amanda Bynes, Jenna Fischer, Taye Diggs, director Darren Aronofsky (Rachel Weisz’s husband), Robin Thicke and Stacy Keibler.

After lunch, the 38-year-old actress saw a cute dog on the way out and started laughing!

Ellen has really been enjoying her married to Chris Ivery and recently said, “We enjoy our life so much. We go to Europe and sleep in. So when I have the baby, I won’t feel like we’ve missed any fun, reckless times together, like staying up all night drinking champagne and having sex until five in the morning and not having to get up until two in the afternoon!”

The hit medical drama had its season premiere last night where Ellen’s character, Meredith Grey, got more confused about her relationship with Patrick Dempsey’s character, Dr. Derek “McDreamy” Shepherd.

On catching the acting bug as a child while watching the Rockettes at Radio City Music Hall: “Afterward, I stood up and said, ‘That’s what I want to be. They’re alive. That’s what I want to do.’ … [But] I was very sad and introverted as a child, and I would never, ever have had the confidence or the extroverted nature to be in a school play.”

On being was surprised at Grey’s Anatomy’s popularity: “When I did the pilot, I thought, ‘I can’t stand medical shows. This will never get on.’”

On fashion being one of her passions: “Fashion is an art form like any other. All artists love all art. Anything creative—cooking, literature, art—I love it all.”

On having one piece of advice for Meredith: “Just move on. There are plenty of fish in the sea.”

Grey’s Anatomy star Ellen Pompeo had a very interesting childhood story to tell on Friday’s The Late Show with David Letterman. Apparently, as a 15-year-old, Ellen sold Vodka to baseball fans at Fenway Park, the home ballpark of the Boston Red Sox baseball team.

On selling herself at such a young age: “I made a great living at Fenway when I was 15-years-old. There were lots of guys in the neighborhood and there were always these great job opportunities at the time. They all seemed very nice, innocent and fun!” (The audience laughed because of her suggestive implications.)

On how she got away with selling Vodka in public: “When I was 15, one particular man asked me if I wanted to make some money. He said, ‘All you have to do is sell slush outside of Fenway.’ I thought, ‘Now that sounds easy.’ They’d drive me to Fenway, set me up on the street with this nice cart and nice umbrella. And inside the cart, there were two flavors: lemon and watermelon. And then beside the two flavors was slush inside one of those big ketchup bottles. But there wasn’t ketchup in it, Dave. There was Vodka.”

On how she sold her product: “I used to stand around saying, ‘I got the special slush over here. Special slush!’ I’d [usually] give them one pump but if they gave me a few extra bucks, I’d give them two pumps.”

On not feeling guilty about selling alcohol: “Listen, I just gave them what they want. I had the longest line. There must have been 12 slush carts on the street. No one else had a line. I was the only one!”

On the possibility of being arrested: “I could have been in prison but all of the cops that were standing around didn’t seem to mind. They clearly knew what was going on. I was giving them slush too! You know those Boston police. Have you seen The Departed?”
