Dec 16 - President-elect Obama continues at a rapid pace to name his cabinet, which has prompted relief in some quarters, as it brings change with a familiar ring.
Obama ran for the presidency on a message of change. That includes, he has said, changing the partisan political climate in Washington and the central role money plays in greasing the wheels of government.

Dec. 14 - An Iraqi reporter called U.S. President George W. Bush a 'dog' in Arabic and threw his shoes at him during a news conference in Baghdad.
Bush was forced to duck to avoid the thrown shoes, one sailing over his head and smacking into the wall behind him as he stood next to the Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki. Iraqi security officers and U.S. secret service agents leapt at the man and dragged him struggling and screaming out of the room where the U.S. leader was giving a news conference with the Iraqi Prime Minister.
Bush smiled uncomfortably and Maliki looked strained.
"It doesn't bother me," Bush said, urging everyone to calm down as a ruckus broke out in the conference room.
When asked about the incident shortly after, Bush made light of it. "I didn't feel the least threatened by it," he said.
Other Iraqi journalists apologised on behalf of their colleague, a television journalist.
Bush arrived in Baghdad earlier on Sunday on a farewell visit before he leaves office in January.

Penn also admits that playing Dan Humphrey is way too easy. He says, “I can do this role with my eyes closed and my arms behind my back. What I’m looking for now is something challenging… I always joke with the show’s creators, ‘Anytime you want me to do drugs or contemplate suicide, I’ll do it.’ ”

The 42-year-old actress is starring and co-producing the psychological drama, which follows a young woman struggling with multiple personality disorder. Halle, who plays both Frankie and Alice, is torn between who she is and a racist Caucasian alter-personality that preys upon her mind.
It was also recently announced that Halle and actor-screenwriter Tyler Perry will host the 40th NAACP Image Awards on Feb. 12. The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People honors those who promote diversity in the arts.

In one plot of the special post Super Bowl episode of The Office, some of the office workers try to secretly watch a bootlegged Hollywood movie during the workday.
The special hour-long episode titled “Stress Relief” will premiere immediately following “Super Bowl XLIII,” Sunday, February 1 10:30PM ET on NBC.
It was announced earlier that Jack Black would also be guest-starring on The Office.
