Michelle Williams takes daughter Matilda, who turns 3 on Tuesday, to pick up her morning coffee at a local diner in Brooklyn, New York City on Friday morning.

In her new book, “Heath, a Family’s Tale”, author Janet Fife-Yeomans reveals how Heath gave up a string of glamorous affairs when he met Michelle and had Matilda.

Heath supposedly said, “The level of synchronicity in my life now, with me and Michelle and now Matilda, (has) meant it’s become everything to me — the most important thing I do… My child smiles up at me in the morning and that’s it — I feel connected to life; this is what it’s all about… There’s something very cosmic about the experience of parenthood… Suddenly you get the right perspective and priorities. It’s marvelous — and the most remarkable experience I’ve ever had.”

The 28-year-old actress was accompanied by director Kelly Reichardt and costars Will Patton and Larry Fessenden.

According to IMDB, the movie is about a woman whose life is derailed en route to a potentially lucrative summer job. When her car breaks down, and her dog is taken to the pound, the thin fabric of her financial situation comes apart, and she is led through a series of increasingly dire economic decisions.

The paparazzi have been following Michelle very closely the past six months for obvious reasons. It seems like photographers were hiding out while these photos were taken but Michelle has a sixth sense about cameras in the distance now! She definitely pointed the paparazzi out to her friend. Paparazzi spotted at 2 o’clock!!!

And here’s a cute story from Britain’s Telegraph Magazine as told by Heath Ledger’s Casanova costar Sienna Miller: “Heath and I had this amazing night out in Venice with my mother. It had been pouring with rain. Heath ran out in the middle of St. Mark’s square [in Venice] and we were running around, and I slipped over. We all ran back to his [apartment] and he gave me these dry pajamas to get home in… [Two years later,] when he came over to my house last November, and he was having trouble sleeping, I gave them back, to help him sleep…When he died, I was so sad that I didn’t have these stupid pajamas anymore, so his father found them to give to me.”

Sienna apparently keeps the blue checked pajamas close, and had them with her in Prague during the filming of her upcoming movie, G.I. Joe.

At the Australians in Film 2008 Breakthrough Awards in Beverly Hills this past Thursday, director Gregor Jordan announced the formation of a Heath Ledger scholarship fund to help struggling Australian actors. Each year, one young actor from Australia will be given the chance to make it in Hollywood.

Gregor, who befriended Heath after directing him in 1999’s Two Hands, said, “It’s going to involve a number of benefactors and there’s been a lot of interest already. I was talking to Michelle Williams, his partner and the mother of his child, today and Michelle has said she would be very proud and happy to be the first benefactor.”

Michelle Williams couldn’t look happier at the premiere of Adoration at the Palais des Festivals during the 2008 Cannes Film Festival on Thursday in Cannes, France.

According to Wiki, Adoration is about a young man obsessed with the idea that he is the spawn of two historical figures and is director Atom Egoyan’s first feature length film since Where The Truth Lies (Kevin Bacon, Colin Firth).

This is Michelle’s first big red carpet appearance since Heath Ledger passed away in January. It’s so great to see her bouncing back!
