First "comprehensive inventory" of life in Antarctica

The first "comprehensive inventory" of marine and land species released by a research team from British Antarctic Survey and University of Hamburg describes the continent as a region rich in biodiversity on Dec. 1, 2008. The inventory includes over 1,200 marine and land species the team found there, most of which live on the deep seabed of Antarctica.
