Aug. 25 -- Daniel Radcliffe claims his success is down to "dumb luck". The actor shot to fame at the age of 11 after winning the role of Harry Potter in the movie versions of J.K.

Rowling's children's books, but insists his success is down to a combination of good fortune and hard work.

He said: "I got where I am by dumb luck. You only deserve what you have if you work hard. I know most actors hoped for a job, and then found themselves between jobs. For me, it was a great job at 11. "I'm a person who got lucky very young, but I was brought up with a work ethic -- show up on time, work hard and do your lines."

The 19-year-old star -- who is about to reprise his role as a horse-obsessed stable boy in the Broadway run of "Equus" -- admits his parents were unsure about letting him commit to the franchise.

He explained: " 'No, absolutely not', is what they said when I was younger, but they're pleased now."

Peep the new season 2 promos for the fanciful ABC drama Pushing Daisies — Lee Pace as Ned, Anna Friel as Chuck, Chi McBride as Emerson, Ellen Greene as Vivian, Swoosie Kurtz as Lily and Kristin Chenoweth as Olive. Obviously, the main pic is an homage to the Sistine Chapel, where God’s right arm is outstretched to impart life from his own finger into that of Adam, whose left arm is extended in a pose mirroring God’s.

Pushing Daisies picked up an incredible 12 Emmy nominations. In the major acting categories, both Lee and Kristin were nominated. The Emmy Awards ceremony will be held on Sunday, September 21, 2008.

HOW EXCITED are you for the new season of “Desperate Housewives”?

Former adult film star Jenna Jameson and her boyfriend of two years, mixed martial artist Tito Ortiz, are expecting their first child together!

“Yes, I can confirm I’m pregnant,” she tells Us Weekly. “It’s still early, so I’m being cautious. I’m resting as much as possible. I’m so happy!”

Jenna adds, “[Tito and I] are still in a state of shock. I’m just saying super healthy. I’ve moved down to the beach with Tito — I love being by the beach.”

The 34-year-old suffered through two failed pregnancy attempts. Jenna miscarried during her marriage to adult film star Jay Grdina and the second time failed with in vitro treatment.

Victoria’s Secret angel Alessandra Ambrosio and California businessman beau Jamie Mazur welcomed a beautiful baby girl Sunday in Brazil — Anja Louise Ambrosio Mazur!

“To all of our family and friends, we are pleased to announce that our little princess Anja Louise Ambrosio Mazur was born on Sunday Aug 24 at 7:32 p.m.,” Alessandra tells People. “She is 6.3 lbs. and absolutely perfect.”

Alessandra adds, “[Anja] hasn’t cried once except for a second when they pulled her out. We have now felt a new kind of love and joy that we never knew existed.”

Kara DioGuardi has joined American Idol as a fourth judge!

The 37-year-old will sit alongside Paula Abdul, Simon Cowell and Randy Jackson and use her background as a songwriter/producer in the eighth season of American Idol (premieres January 2009 on FOX). Paula finally gets another female on the panel to pow-wow with!

Kara’s songs, “Cheetah Love” and “I’m the One” most recently appeared in the Disney Channel movie Cheetah Girls 3: One World.
