Simpson was chosen for the advertising due of her “hip” persona which reflects the brand’s personality, said Geoff Hardwicke, Zellers director of marketing.

Nicole, 26, is now launching a Web site for the charity that she and boyfriend Joel Madden started - the Richie Madden Children’s Foundation.

“The Web site will be a registry, like for a bridal or shower registry, where low-income women list things they need for their babies,” the source said. “More well-off people will then go on and buy stuff for the children,” a source told the NY Daily News.

The 50’s drama, out Dec. 26 (same day as Tom Cruise’s Valkyrie), is based on Richard Yates’ 1961 novel. The film reunites Titanic stars Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio in a decidedly unsentimental portrait of a marriage. The film is directed by Kate’s husband, Sam Mendes (American Beauty, Road to Perdition).

When asked about shooting a sex scene with Leo, Kate said, “I just kept saying, ‘This is too… weird.’ And Leo was like, ‘Oh, get over it.’ And I’m going, ‘Yeah, a little reminder: You’re my best friend. He’s my husband. This is a bit weird.’ …[But] I hadn’t realized how much my chemistry with [Leo] since Titanic would still stick. It’s great to discover we can just slip right into it, like muscle memory.”

The 22-year-old British actor will soon play Edward Cullen in the much-buzzed-about film adaptation of Twilight, a vampire novel by Stephenie Meyer. In short, a teenage girl risks everything when she falls in love with a vampire (Pattinson).

When recently asked how he approached kissing scenes in the movie, Robert jokingly said, “I kinda just approached it from the front [and] I always try to slip a bit of tongue in.”

Considering 6,5000 fans stormed Comic-Con’s Hall H last month to see the Twilight cast, you can only imagine how many fans will turn out for its November 21st release.

Rachel McAdams takes front and center in New York Times’ latest issue of T Magazine. The 31-year-old Canuck cutie has been out promoting her latest film, The Lucky Ones. The story revolves around three soldiers — Collee (McAdams), T.K. (Michael Pena) and Cheever (Tim Robbins) — who return from the Iraq War after suffering injuries and learn that life has moved on without them. Here are a few excepts from Rachel’s interview:

[Even though you wanted to become an actress,] you still stayed in Canada instead of jetting off to L.A. or New York. [Why?] I had a small-town life — I worked at the local McDonald’s for three years. I’m not sure why they kept me: I am something of a daydreamer and a dawdler, so they would only let me be the ‘‘friendly voice’’ that greeted you when you entered the restaurant. I was slow — I would be organizing the sweet-and-sour packets in the customer’s takeout bag while the line snaked out the door. Even at a fast-food restaurant, I wanted everything just so.

Do you like to audition? I love auditioning. Since ‘‘The Notebook’’ and ‘‘Wedding Crashers,’’ I don’t have to audition anymore, and I miss it. You get to show your interpretation of the character. I get nervous when I don’t audition. What if they hate what I want to do? I also like screen tests, where they put you in a room with your male co-star. They want to see if the two of you have chemistry together. There’s something wonderfully old-fashioned about a chemistry test. During a movie, chemistry is so important, and yet they just assume actors can fake their way through it. That doesn’t always work.

In ‘‘The Notebook,’’ you and Ryan Gosling had amazing chemistry. Are love scenes difficult? They’re strange. A kiss with anyone, on or off camera, can be intimidating. I’ve been kissing for nearly two decades now, and I’m always convinced I’m not doing it right. Chemistry is so important in a great kiss. You can act your way through anything, but it’s hard with a kiss. It’s much better if there’s an attraction.

Kevin Jonas and Taylor Swift film a segment together for the Jonas Brothers 3-D concert movie in Columbus Circle, New York City on Thursday.

The 18-year-old country singer has been burnin’ up the charts as her latest single “Should’ve Said No” reached No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart. Taylor’s song knocked off Sugarland’s “All I Want to Do” from the top position.

The country star is also a download diva, topping iTunes sales this week with “Change” - which was recently chosen to be on the AT&T Team USA Soundtrack.

The WWII drama, based on the true story of Colonel Claus von Stauffenberg (Cruise), has changed release dates once again, but has finally been settled: Friday, December 26.

The company’s distribution head Clark Woods told The Hollywood Reporter, “We’ve now completed the movie, and it’s fantastic. Until now we didn’t have a movie that was done. But now we have a movie starring Tom Cruise that deserves the best possible playtime.”
