Madonna arrives at LAX airport in Los Angeles on Sunday with her three kids — Lourdes, 11, Rocco, 7, and David, 2 1/2.
The 49-year-old Queen of Pop is expected in a Malawi court April for a final hearing on David’s adoption. Adoption proceedings for David began in 2006 after meeting the boy in a local orphanage.
Madonna’s directorial debut, Filth and Wisdom, has so far been met with mixed reviews. It’s possible that the low-budget comedy will be made available first via download in the U.S. and U.K. and released theatrically elsewhere.
As for her upcoming still-yet-untitled album, Rolling Stone previewed five of its “more urban-oriented, thumpy funk” tracks. Here’s a sample of the review:
“The track that sounds most like a more urban, edgy continuation of Confessions is the excellent ‘Give It to Me,’ which bumps along to a thick synth tone Danja employed on Britney Spears’ Blackout. It’s an aggressive, clubby track with a raw, house-y beat that’s ripe for remixing, and Madonna sings, ‘When the lights go down and there’s no one left I can go on and on.’ It ends after a fast, killer breakdown where she chants ‘Get stupid’ over a xylophone chime as the beat builds into a frenzy and she proclaims, ‘Give it to me / No one’s gonna stop me now.’
