Here are the very first pictures of Robert Downey Jr. filming Sherlock Holmes on Friday, currently filming in Central London.

When asked what he could bring to a character portrayed countless times on film and television, RDJ has joked: “Clearly I’m going to do it better than it’s ever been done. The more I read about it the more overwhelmed I was by the weight of it and the amount of people who will be watching to see if it’s gotten right.”

Check out the pictures below–it looks like RDJ and his stunt double are conferring with each other on how to jump off the building they’re standing on. Also pictured: director Guy Ritchie.

I would like to say once again that neither me or Jessica have issues with our weight or bodies. I happened to be very small built, and I’ve always been skinny. So I personally think that people need to stop criticizing everyone in the media these days about their issues. I’m sure you wouldnt like it if someone pointed out all of your flaws and all of your mistakes.”

People magazine has an exclusive photo shoot with the stars of High School Musical 3: Senior Year — Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens, Corbin Bleu, Lucas Grabeel, Monique Coleman and Ashley Tisdale.

“It’s strange,” Zac says of the ever-present paparazzi. “Every day is a crazy adventure. We do some pretty kooky things to avoid them. It’s like The Bourne Identity. I’m starting to learn the ways of the ninja.”

On her new role as Eli’s therapist, she says, “I actually have a therapist. She’s very smart and we try not to talk about politics because we’re both incensed about Sarah Palin.”

Orlando Bloom walks out of a West Hollywood studio carrying the monthly UK music magazine Mojo on Thursday.

The 31-year-old British actor read up on the cover story: “THE CLASH: 1982. Combat Rock was being recorded and The Clash were playing their biggest ever gigs supporting The Who on their arena tour, but the cracks were starting to show.
